Piers Morgan announced via Twitter that he was walking away from America’s Got Talent, to focus on his CNN show.
Howard Stern could be filling that seat. Word is that Stern is currently negotiating a $15 million a year contract to join Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne at the judge’s table. Apparently the show might even move from Los Angeles to New York in order to make it easier for Stern to join the show and keep up his radio show which is based out of NYC! So… NOT Hollywood!
Morgan said ”I’ve been a judge since the show began six years ago, I’ve loved every single second, but I’ve discovered that juggling, to my surprise, really is a bit more difficult than I thought. So I’m going to focus on what will be a huge year here at CNN, with the upcoming election.”
Piers also joked that his co-stars Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Nick Cannon will be “relieved” to see him go. He said: “I wanna congratulate Sharon, Howie and Nick who will doubtless be relieved that they no longer have to work with me.”
